The birth of my little daughter

My father knew I was pregnant when he passed away. He tried to hang on to see his grandchild. But it just wasn't possible. My daughter came into this world with a shock of dark hair, pink cheeks, and a healthy pair of lungs. My husband and my stepmother were by my side. The moment I held my daughter, I could feel my father's presence in her. I would make sure she knew him.
