I was 27 when Connie told me she was pregnant. Hearing that was the best thing I could imagine. Right up until that point I didn't think I even wanted to be a daddy, but the moment she said it I started getting all teary-eyed. I hugged her and we sorta did this little dance. I asked her how long she had known, and she said she just took the test yesterday. In celebration, we went out to where she worked and ordered a steak and eggs dinner, and the manager gladly covered it. I never thought I'd meet someone who could tolerate my demons, but I found an angel in Connie.
