When I graduated high school, I was sure I would only get small gifts from my relatives, and maybe a hundred dollars from my mother and father. They gave me the shock of my life when they asked me, one day, to come outside and take a look at something. They even put their hands over my eyes as I went out the front door to delay the surprise a little longer. When I opened my eyes, there was a car sitting in the driveway, a used Ford escort. I didn't even care that it was used; the important thing was that it was mine! I called my friends and went for a cruise down to South Beach in my new wheels and had the time of my life.
