Dad has heart attack but survives

When I was fourteen we had a big scare. My dad had a heart attack. I was home at the time, along with two of my sisters, Maria and Inez. He was in the kitchen and we were in the living room watching television, when we suddenly heard him start to make a weird coughing noise. At first we laughed because it sounded funny, then when we heard a crash we jumped up to see what was going on. Inez called 911 and we waited anxiously for the ambulance to come and take him. He felt better the next day, but the doctor told him he needed to cut down on his meat and sodium if he wanted to avoid another one. He says he'll take pills instead, because there's no way he was planning to cut his favorite foods.
