We got married at a park in town, wearing jeans, cowboy boots and hats, and white shirts. She looked me right in the eye and promised me her life, and I felt like the luckiest man in the world. When we turned around to face the crowd and the reverend pronounced us man and wife, I scanned the happy faces in the crowd, grateful for so many friends and relatives.
We danced and partied all night long, made love, and fell asleep in the bed of my shiny new truck, just as we had planned.
