Giving birth to my son

It was a difficult birth. The umbilical cord was wrapped around my baby's throat and it was in distress. So I had to have an emergency C-section. But the joy of seeing my son and hearing him cry erased all that. He was healthy, alive, and free. My husband snapped this picture of the baby crying with one fist in the air. We called him our little protestor.
