When President Kennedy was assassinated

I was in my eighth grade science class when the news broke over the PA system. President Kennedy had been shot. We were all so stunned. No one could concentrate on anything else. Then the news came that he had died. I cried all the way as I walked home from school. Everyone else was crying too. I couldn't believe that this wonderful man I had seen in person was gone.
