I was heartbroken when my first dog died. I loved her so much. I had her cremated, and had just received her ashes in a box. On Sunday, I went to 5:30 mass and took the box of ashes with me. I put the box next to me on the pew so that when the priest came around blessing us, my dog would get blessed as well. When I got home, I sprinkled her ashes over the ivy-covered hillside where she liked to pray and said a prayer. It was a beautiful funeral deserving of such a wonderful friend.
