Welcoming our son

We were very careful with my wife during this pregnancy. I made sure she got all the bed rest the doctor prescribed. When our son was born, he was big and healthy and screaming his head off. I was beyond joy. Yet I was sad that my mother and father would never see him and that he would never know them and the wonderful people they were.
