She had been my best friend since we were really little. We did everything together, spent every waking moment together in the summer, and had a lot of great memories. As I stood there outside the moving van, I thought again about how I wished she didn't have to go, how she could somehow stay. I had asked my mom if she could live with us, but nothing seemed to work. I hugged her goodbye for the very last time, my heart felt so sad as she climbed into the car. I watched her wave out the back window of the car until her face disappeared down the street. I knew I had just lost my very best friend in the world.
