Up, Up, and Away

We liked to try different adventurous things. We liked to live, that's what it was all about after all. We sat at the tiny table with the big brown basket surrounding us. We heard the flame being lit before we saw it flickering above us. Then we felt the warmth and as we focused on that, we were up….climbing higher and higher and higher until we were lifted far off the ground. I looked over at her as she looked at the ground beneath us, the hot air balloon soaring above us in bright vibrant colors. This was living! We lived each day to the fullest and being up high like that, soaring above the earth made me feel so empowered and so rejuvenated.
