The Unexpected Flowers

When I was in the hospital recovering from my surgery, I received flowers from my brother. Ever since I was married, we had grown apart, him not really liking my husband all that well. I hadn't really talked to him for years before then, so I was surprised when I got the flowers. It was a nice gestured, and I cried when I got them (I was highly emotional anyways), and then when I got out of the hospital, I called him to thank him. Since then, we've gotten a little closer again, and he even seems to be trying to get along with my husband. Which is nice.
