The night my father died

I'll never forget February 10, 1999. At 3:00 a.m., the phone rang. It was my mother informing me that my father had died. He had fallen asleep on the couch, watching late-night TV. When she went down to get him up to come to bed, she couldn't waken him. It was a heart attack. I could only hope that it took him peacefully while he slept.
