The Elephant Ride

A few years back I was at this one fair where they had these elephant rides. It was neat and different, and I had never even seen an elephant up close before, so I naturally wanted to ride one. I dragged one of my braver friends over to them, and though they were smelly (which my friend never stopped complaining about) they were so gentle and so cute, in their own way. I'll never forget the way that they moved, and just the raw power that they had. How it felt to feel them moving, their slow but steady stomping towards their destination. It was a lot of fun. Or at least I thought it was.
