The Day I Met My Exhusband

I had just started 10th grade. That put me at the high school. One day, walking to the bus, I saw this guy with his backpack unzipped. he had band names like Nirvana and 9 Inch Nails written on the backpack with white out. I stopped just long enough to tell him it was unzipped.

The next day a friend introduced us and he said he's seen me on the bus before school and had hoped to see me again. It felt like fate.

If only I'd realized sooner.
