The Dangers of Flirting

There was this one guy in my English class who I had the biggest crush on. And he was pretty nice, so I'd flirt with him all the time. He was receptive, though he didn't really flirt back. I thought maybe he was just shy, but then one day, when we were leaving class, his girlfriend came up to him and I felt so embarrassed. It wasn't as if I knew that he had a girlfriend, if I did, I wouldn't have flirted with him so much. I still felt kind of stupid afterwards, though I was determined not to show it. I tried to shrug it off, but I felt like a moron for quite some time after.
