My mom pushed a box over to me that was nearly as big as I was. It had little red race cars all over it that said, "Happy Birthday" on little checkered flags.
When I had finished unwrapping the box I couldn't help but to stare at the picture on the box. It had a kid in a tiny race car on it, and then it had crayon drawn over the boys face to make it look like he was pretending to be a race car driver. Even at that young age, I didn't know whether that car was really in the box, but I hoped with all my heart that it was. When my mom helped me get the box open, and then to pull the car out, I was so happy.
I have never gotten anything like it in my life, and was amazed that my mom had spent so much to get me such a cool toy. It was the best present of my 8 year old life.
