I always looked up to my grandpa. He used to come over and go for long walks with me and take me out to lunch. He always had this silver pocket watch that he carried with him everywhere. He would pull it out all the time, it was so shiny and ornate. It was a part of his identity and I came to love that watch as a sign of safety and security. That watch came along on every walk or lunch date that we had, and I always loved when he pulled it out to check the time. Every time I look at it on my shelf now it reminds me of how many great times we had together. It's my constant reminder of the fun afternoons I got to spend with my hero.
