Surprise

They sat the three of us down at the table as they held hands and looked down at us. We couldn't figure out why they wanted to talk to all of us at once, but we knew it was serious. I remember feeling a little nervous, like maybe one of us was in trouble or something. They smiled brightly at us as they told us that we'd have another baby in the house soon. I was shocked; I could tell my face told just how stunned I was! I looked up at them but they were so happy that I couldn't help but smile. I knew that this wasn't their plan somehow, but they were so happy that it was almost contagious so we all smiled and thought about a new baby in the house.
