Stray Cat

The house I was renting was clearly a no pet's home, but when that mangy little kitten wandered up to me, I just couldn't turn him down. He had Bengal stripes and those huge brown eyes that would make Scrooge himself melt.

I sat there petting him on my front stairs for a while, just listening to the sounds of his motor boat purr. He was definitely trying to butter me up, and I all that effort was well deserving of some of the finest tuna I had in the pantry. Boy, I don't think he ever forgot that either.
