My daughter had arranged a 50th anniversary celebration for us back in our hometown with the help of my wife's sister. I'd never had anyone do anything like that for me before, so I was pleased but at the same time uncomfortable. Relatives came from both sides of our family-some we hadn't seen in years. People stood up and recalled funny and heartwarming experiences having to do with my wife and me.
Afterwards, we went to my sister-in-laws home for after-party drinking and visiting. My daughter put together a photo album of all the pictures taken for us to remember that special day.
