Never to Understand

I must be getting old, I thought. I watched the news that evening and became sick with all the terrible stories of robbery and shootings. I looked over at my husband who apparently echoed my sentiments with the look on his face. Then it was like a dream as the anchorman told the story of a woman who had drown her own baby. I listened intensely as they told the story of how she sunk deep into a depression which finally ended with her dunking her own baby under water until he could no longer breath. Who are these sickos? I wanted to throw up as I listened to them tell her story and felt so bad for this poor innocent baby who had never asked to be born.
