Nervous Dessert

We sat there after enjoying a nice meal together. Normally I'd be relaxed and savor the moment but I was full of nerves. I waited for the waiter to bring it and with each moment I grew more and more nervous. It was her birthday so I had arranged for her very favorite-key lime pie to be brought to her at the table. What she didn't know was that the ring was inside the piece of pie and I couldn't wait for her to find it. I sat there so nervous as the waiter approached and gave me a knowing smile and wink. I watched intensely as she picked up her fork to dig in and take her first bite.
