In junior high I decided to do some landscaping to make some money. Here in Arizona, we don't have enough water to have grassy lawns, so I ended up carting wheelbarrows of rocks around people's yards, and planting cactus. The first day on the job I didn't really know what I was doing. Our neighbor, Mr. Lanny, hired me to lay some rocks down. All day I worked on that, putting them right where he told me to, and I did such a good job he decided to pay me even more money than we had originally agreed on. I had discovered something I was naturally good at.
