My first girlfriend

She was a sweet girl, very pretty. And man was she smart. Her father was a blue-collar worker, which didn't matter to me. But it sure did to my parents. They tried to discourage me from seeing her. When she'd come over to my house, they'd be painfully polite. But there was no warmth there. Eventually the girl and I broke up. But I still thought of her.
