Meeting Sarah

During the winter, the pastor of my church asked me if I wanted to lead a youth group. Even though I was 16, he said he knew I was responsible enough. I agreed. Then he walked me over to introduce me to the girl I would help lead the group with, Sarah. She was blonde with pretty eyes, and I suddenly started to feel kinda funny. She got up to shake my hand, saw that my right hand wasn't straight, and without even batting an eye, extended her other one instead. It was like she didn't notice, or didn't care that I had cerebral palsy. We spent the rest of the day talking. I knew I was in love at that moment.
