Lying Doesn't Pay

As a child, I did every obnoxious thing that you kid think of a bratty child doing. So naturally, I lied a lot. About what I owned, about other people, about everything I could, trying to get people to believe as much as I could have them believe. I didn't care if I hurt anyone's feelings or anything. But this one time, I got what was coming to me. I lied to my one friend about going to an amusement park, that I have never been to, at least ten times. Because of that, he invited my other friend to go with him instead of me. I was so bummed, and it was all my fault.
