Losing job at real estate firm

For years I was working with Black and Thomas, a real estate firm, doing bookkeeping and other secretary-like stuff. It was okay, but once my weight became such a problem I could barely walk around in the cramped office, they told me they had to let me go. The boss, Terry, had me sit down in his office and he looked at me like I was stupid, like I ain't worked there for years. He said that, due to budgetary problems, he had to let me go, and he was sorry. I fought the tears and tried to stay cool. But on the way home I lost it. What I really think, was that they didn't want to have to help pay for my insurance costs anymore.
