Jenny, the love of my life

I finally met the woman of my dreams, a girl named Jenny who I had actually known in elementary school but hadn't talked to in nearly 20 years We started dating for several months and things were going really well - or so I thought. I bought a ring and planned out how I would ask for her hand in marriage.

That night I popped the question. But it didn't go as I had hoped. She looked at me with an expression of concern, and said, "Oh, Burt, that's cute." She refused to take me seriously. We broke up pretty soon after that, and I had to take the ring to a pawn shop to get what I could for it.
