In Your Face

Things were so strained between us. I wished it could have been different but I would forever side with my mom. Little did I know, but a storm was about to erupt between my father and I. I sat there next to his pathetic little Christmas tree, the apartment still a mess. He had just told me that he'd found somebody else and I fought my instinct to punch him square in the face. When he started to tell me about her, I wanted to throw up as I did the math in my head. He had been with her when my mom and him were still together. I stared at him in disbelief, wanting to scream at him, wanting to push him to the ground, wanting to explain to him the pain that he had caused my mom..but I just turned and walked out. He wasn't worth it!
