Though I struggled to learn English at first, pretty soon I found it came naturally to me, and I began to excel in school. By this time, my parents had become naturalized, and so had I, so they enrolled me in a better school. I'll never forget the day that I graduated, because I was two years ahead of the other members of my class. I got up when they called my name at commencement and proudly took the stage to accept my diploma. I could see my parents out in the audience beaming with delight. I was the first member of the family to be accepted into college, and they knew good things were in store for me.
