Honeymooning in Tahiti

When I proposed to Laura, I was thrilled when she said yes. We set a wedding date for June, and after that we booked flights to Tahiti for our honeymoon. I don't know why I chose Tahiti, but it had always seemed like the perfect honeymoon location to me, and we could afford it. The flight seemed like it would never end, but as we finally came in over Tahiti early in the morning, and I saw the sun shining on the cliffs, and all that turquoise water, I felt like I had arrived in a paradise on Earth. Our hotel was a series of huts standing out on the water on poles, just like we were living in an authentic Polynesian fishing village. I had never been anywhere or seen anything like it in my whole life, and I hope to go back there someday.
