High Life

Five of the guys and I were parked in a field drinking beers when a carload of girls pulled up. We lit up a bonfire and sat around it, telling ridiculous ghost stories. Jack disappeared with Lacy, and came back ten minutes later with some pot. I had never tried it, but everyone else seemed to know exactly what to do. Trying to hide my inexperience, I imitated what everyone else in the circle had done, and sat down on the ground to relax. I felt at peace for the first time in a long time and couldn't wait for the bong to make its way back around.
