Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

I got my first period at Christmas time. Like, exactly on Christmas Day. I was like, "Thank you, body. This is the best Christmas present ever, I now have to deal with monthly cramps and pains for the rest of my childbearing life." It was pretty bad, too. We were in church and it bled through to my nice white dress that I thought I could get away with wearing because I had yet to receive my period. Hah, my body sure played a good joke on me there!! Luckily, I didn't get mind-numbing cramps until a few periods later, otherwise that would have probably been the worst Christmas ever.
