Happily Ever After

I knew she was the one for me. She looked beautiful that day, just like a princess. As the doors of the church opened wide and she started walking towards me, I realized just how beautiful she really was. I looked at her and thought about how happy she made me....but strangely it still felt like something was missing. I couldn't figure it out as this was what people always dreamed of, the happily ever after. I smiled brightly back at her and tossed these thoughts aside, brushing it off as just nerves. We were about to be married in front of our loved ones and I focused on her as I grabbed her hand next to mine.
