He was 8 lbs an 6 ounces, and 22 inches long. I waited patiently for the doctor to clean, and then swooped up my brand new grandson as soon as I had the chance.
He was wrapped tightly in a little blanket and had on one of those little hospital beanie caps to keep his head warm. He looked like a little angel, and I could see many of my own features in him, passed down through my daughter. It took a long time before I was ready to give him back to my daughter, and when I finally did, I had to leave the room to keep from taking him back.
