Graduation

I went through college year-round and graduated in two-and-a-half years. My parents were so proud. I was the first person in our extended family to go to college-and I was a girl. I remember walking to the podium in my cap and gown to receive my degree. Walking back to my seat, I spotted my parents smiling (and I'm sure they had tears in their eyes.) I was happy and sad at the same time. Some of my best friends weren't graduating for another year, and I probably wouldn't see most of them again-especially Gus.
