It was a long time of education, and I had started a little late. It was still worth it though, and I was proud being done with it, and ready to start my practice. I had spent 8 years practicing political and criminal law, with a goal of bettering some of our governmental officials.
I also had hopes that it might land me a nice position in a lofty firm, as I walked up the podium and took my degree. My long black gown fit over me just right, and I was so glad it was warm, as the day of my graduation was a bit cold. When all the kids had gotten their degrees and were ready to head off into the world, we all through out caps into the air and cheered real loud. It was time to start succeeding in the real world.
