I was in labor about 19 hours. I never knew anything could hurt so much. But when I saw my son, I knew I had done the right thing. He was adorable-pink, healthy and with a good pair of lungs. And he had the most beautiful smell. When I held him, he grabbed onto my finger and wouldn't let go. I knew I had to do right by him and not expose him to the kind of life I had or was going to have.
