We always tried to get together for our traditional happy hour. It had gotten harder as we got older and we didn't do it quite as often, but we all still made it a priority. I looked around the table at these women who were such a huge part of my life. We were the best of friends and we had seen each other through deaths, break ups, different jobs, different hairstyles-we had seen it all and been there and back again. I took a sip of my apple martini and reveled in that moment that I had there with them, my best girlfriends. This time was so important to me and I loved having time to just chat with the girls, no distractions and no men.
