Getting arrested for stealing

I had a summer and after-school job driving a van for the local dry cleaners. I'd pick up the laundry and cleaning and deliver them back to the customers. People either paid in cash or added it to their account. One day, I started skimming a little bit off the top and didn't think my boss would miss it. But one day, he confronted me and called in my father. Instead of sticking up for me, my father agreed that I should be arrested. He thought a night in jail might do me some good and teach me a lesson. It was terrible.
