Friends Forever

I remember that day on the playground, when I first saw her. She was wearing a pretty sun dress that had red plaid and strawberries on it. Her hair was a soft brown with blonde highlights, and her green eyes sparkled in the sunlight.

I was only 8, and it was in the middle of a school day in May, but I was so determined to be near her, that I spent all day trying to get her to talk to me. I even asked a friend of hers what her name was, so I could call her name, and let her know I existed. She must have thought I was so annoying.
