Finding true love

I was attending a fundraiser. I was seated at a table next to a lovely woman about my age. She had this quiet charm about her that I found very appealing. She was a pediatrician, divorced, with two kids.

It was so easy talking to her, I didn't want to stop. We went out together for a couple of months before I met her kids. They were terrific-friendly, well adjusted, and a lot of fun.

I'd never thought about marrying into a ready-made family. But this just seemed so right.

We flew to Hawaii with her kids and her parents to get married. Her sister was her maid of honor, and my kid brother was my best man. We got married on the beach at sunset. The kids gave her away and then married me too. It was so beautiful; I still get a lump in my throat when I think about it.
