Finding out I had cancer

I had gone in for my annual checkup when the doctor found something on one of my lungs. It turned out to be cancer. I was shocked because I'd given up smoking years ago. I went in for surgery to have part of a lobe removed. Then I went through grueling rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. But I always remained positive. I was told that your attitude had a lot to do with whether you beat cancer or not.
