Feeling Ungrounded

Have you ever felt a connection to people instantly and so strongly? I fell hard and fast for a group of friends and in the beginning it was great. 2 of us were empaths and the other two were something different. Then suddenly one of is drifted and the others fell like dominoes. I'm stunned at how quickly everything progressed and now it feels like my family is gone. I don't know whether to hold out hope or walk away like nothing happened. I'm usually so sure in the path I choose but now I'm just lost. It's hard to say goodbye to people who understand and accept you.
