Feeling Like A Mom For the First Time

The first time I really felt like a mom was when all the children were sick, at the same time, and I had to take care of all of them. I think it was the first time they viewed me as a mother figure as well, because I was the only one who was there to take care of them. It was a long few days as their sickness was pretty bad; I had to try to make them at least eat something, while dealing with trying to lower their fevers, and even taking one of them to the hospital because their fever was too high. In the end, it got us all closer and from then, we have had a great relationship. Not without problems, but we now trust each other, and I really feel like their mom sometimes.
