Family Reunion

For some reason I just felt safe there. I wasn't sure why as I hadn't seen some of these people in years, but for some reason in that moment I felt controlled and comfortable. I felt like I could be in my own skin without wanting to jump out of it. I felt serene as the background of all my family being there in one place brought me great happiness. I looked anxiously around at all the familiar friendly faces beaming back at me, as I slowly made my way around to talk to each person with great glee. I was happy to be at this reunion and enjoying the company of family, sharing these moments with them.
