Eddie

After a shocking breakup, I sat around moping for a very long time and feeling very lonely. I sure wasn't ready for another boyfriend. But maybe I was ready for a cat. I had never had a cat since I was a kid. And I never had one that was allowed to live indoors. I sat on the couch in my living room asking myself all kinds of questions-whether I was making the right decision, what if it didn't work out. Then I slowly stood up, put on my coat, and went to the car with my carrier to pick up my new cat. Within an hour after I brought him home, there was Eddie, making himself at home.
