We had always loved the park, it was our spot. We made our way out there that warm summer evening as and walked hand in hand through the grass to our favorite spot on the benches. He stopped and it looked like he was bending over to pick something up, so I looked to see what it was. Then he turned to face me, still down on his knee, and the smile that danced across his face told me that this was the moment. I had wondered if he would propose for awhile now, but I never suspected it at that moment in the park. I never loved him more than that exact moment as I looked down on him, crouched on the ground, with his arm raised high to me, the ring shining in his hand.
