Divorcing a drug problem

I had fallen in love with this boy in high school. We were both popular and everyone thought we belonged together. We got married right after graduation. I knew he smoked a little pot. But then he graduated to cocaine-and then to heroine. He was so stoned all the time he couldn't hold a job. What money we had went to drugs. He refused to go in for treatment and I didn't want to live like that any more. So I divorced him. I don't know what happened to him.
